Building capability and cross collaborations in climate resilience and food systems spaces

Climate Resilience in Food Systems

How do we build spaces and conversations where actors from different but interdependent systems can discover shared purpose and take action together?

Climate Resilience in Food Systems
Project overview

Connecting climate and food systems

Climate resilience planning is happening across Melbourne but there's a critical gap. Rarely do these conversations ask the most basic question: how will people continue to be fed? As heatwaves intensify and floods disrupt supply, our just-in-time food economy offers little buffer. We are, right now, less prepared than we think. Conversations and spaces where we can bring together thinkers and planners from the climate resilience and food system sectors is crucial.

Our role

Convening networks

Our role in this project is to create forums and conversations that bring together food systems and climate practioners to explore nourishment and urban heating.
