Cross-sectoral platform facilitating collaboration in climate change adaptation

Climate Change Exchange

How might we create spaces that foster cross-sectoral collaborations to build our collective capacity to adapt to climate change and enable inclusive, just and transformative adaptation futures?

Project overview

Our climate is changing, we need to change with it

There is a growing need for integrated, socially equitable approaches to climate adaptation that address the structural drivers of risk and vulnerability. Yet disconnection between sectors, people and ideas limits our collective capacity to act. While substantial research exists, it is not consistently translated into practice, and opportunities for researchers, policymakers and practitioners to learn from one another remain limited. The Climate Change Exchange bridges research, policy and practice to strengthen cross-sector capacity for inclusive and transformative adaptation. Grounded in both theory and lived experience, it creates spaces to connect, build shared understanding and act together. This includes a curated website and newsletter, alongside a learning exchange of online and in-person workshops and gatherings focused on learning by sharing and doing.

Our role

Leading the re-emergence

Regen Melbourne partnered with the co-founders of the dormant Climate Change Exchange to clarify the need it could meet and support its re-emergence. This included a process of value proposition design, brand and website design and development, convening of cross-sectoral reference group and creating spaces for building capacity to adapt to climate change. We now co-lead this initiative with the CCE core team.
