How can arts and culture be used to explore and progress new areas of scholarship around more-than-human practices of place-connection and custodianship.

The project involves a conversation with practitioners whilst in a row boat on the Birrarung. The conversations centre the river and create a space for conversations with the river by focussing on listening practices, drawing on First Nations practices of connection and listening. This practice explores new scholarship around more than human practices of place connection and custodianship. It also reflects on the nature of recording, listening, creating, and working in partnership with the river and with river custodians and how this could become the basis for a new research partnership.
